Beach-goers say the ‘tourism’ of surfing is gone

Sand beach tourism is gone, says a beach-goers group.

Sand beaches are a great destination for families and friends and they’re great for families to enjoy a vacation.

But it’s not a tourist destination anymore.

We’re seeing a significant drop in numbers, particularly for beach-going families.

The Tourism Council of Australia has warned of a loss of tourism opportunities for beachgoers, particularly to Western Australia.

They say they’re seeing families coming back to the Sunshine Coast and even going out into the open water to surf.

But many have lost faith in the beach-based economy.
